I don't believe a word out of this Waymo CEO's mouth. Every sentence is a spin and a half-truth. Driving is a "risky enterprise", he says, which owing to human error, no person should be doing. Then we hear about Waymo tech errors, recalled vehicles, problems with the software, and collisions. How long until someone is seriously injured or killed in the course of one of these errors? These things should be outlawed, IMO, unless and until the promised tweaks to the software happen.
