I'm someone who has worked deep in technology for the last 30 years, and I have been warning against all the anti-human technology steps we've taken through the years. Now we are at the point where all those warnings are becoming reality.
Sanders has the right approach here. Don't fight the inevitability of AI. Instead, be clear about the adjustments we all need to make so AI can benefit humans and move society forward.
The only thing Sanders says that is not quite accurate is the timing of the disruptions. He said in the next 10 years. It will take place closer to 2 - 3 years.
The only people who will be safe, for the foreseeable future, are those who work in more complex physical tasks -- construction, carpentry, plumbing, electricians.
