Loved the train of thought around super intelligence. However, having a PhD in the field myself and 3 decades of experience, I have to say that all our current AI systems are still only multivariate statistical models with billions of variables - and therefore little more than sophisticated parrots.
I think super intelligence is much farther away than anyone thinks - if it's even achievable at all. And I'm still waiting to see robots with the right degree of dexterity to replace a good plasterer or painter...
