As a non-artist, its ofc the same. The thing loses value once you know a computer spit it out in a few seconds. It has innate value when you know the person put a lot of effort into it and the piece looks good as well- you aren't admiring just the piece but in awe at the years of experience and hardships of the person making the work. Ofc, technically years and years of human effort is condensed into AI but its not like most of them were paid so you also know a lot of theft went into it. An ethical AI model would involve voluntary submission and also some amount of royalties(it could be a small percentage of royalties per artist but with how much art could be generated due to accessibility, that would add up) but that's not the case- I feel like many would appreciate AI art more and be accepting of if it was done this way. Same goes for all other AI stuff.
