US Labor Participation Rate is dropping, but it has been doing so for a long time, due to Boomer and other early retirements. There is definitely a risk that AI eventually takes white collar jobs, but AI is not yet trustworthy in applying judgement (and does not seem close) and most higher-end white collar jobs (and many lower down the chain) are about providing trusted judgment. We shall see how fast AI changes on that front. Taxing billionaires, I assume that would be quite popular with the voting public.
