I'm glad you mentioned intention and WHY we artists do things. If I asked an AI user "Why'd you put that there?" Or "what does the character's style/clothing/expression say about them?" or even down to "what is the reason for the pose?" they'd be stumped. They can't tell you, because there was no intention. They just typed in "make me a picture of a cute anime girl" and let the AI randomly throw together an amalgam of other works. They didn't actually have any intention behind it. As opposed to when you're really doing art, you have to think VERY carefully about every single stroke you put down, as explained in the video. So thus, things like pose/clothing/hair/lighting/color palette/etc all play a part in the design of what you're drawing. If I draw a character with hair covering their face, largely red/black colors, in tight fitting clothing, and with a pose that is both turned away and in shadow, that can tell you that the character is mysterious, commanding, no nonsense, and likely morally ambiguous. With AI, it just chose that because "it was the most probable answer."
