I can see some good in this. I spent years stuck working in restaurants, because I didn't really know how to escape, and I honestly wasn't smart enough yet to think of my own plan to start a real career. I used ChatGPT to ask basic questions like which careers pay well without needing a degree. And what pathways I could take to build a career. I ended up deciding to try to get into IT, and I used ChatGPT to help me decide which certifications to get, and help me study for them. Without ChatGPT, im not sure I would have pulled myself out of that, and I would probably still be making sandwiches for a living. AI can really help break through decision paralysis, it can do a lot of the heavy-lifting to research different possibilities, and help the user make a decision.
