I have said this before and I'll do it once more to prove a point: if AI-generative images are "art", then someone could "feed a generator with gasoline" and it would produce art in the form of electricity.
Except that's not art, it's a generative process. You could consider the act of pouring gasoline into the generator as performative art, especially if you create a choreography. The electricity, however? It's a generative product.
