Art is about an individual's depiction of ideas. Unfortunately the artist has become an employee of the corporation and it's the corporation that will make the choice to use AI created art for the purpose of selling or persuading.
In 1850 the invention of the camera caused many artists to face ruin but in stead, artists gave rise to the impressionists and with it, a whole new realm of artistic expression. I was in NYC in the 80's and I saw artists put out of work because they could not adapt to Photoshop.
Today, artists again face ruin because of AI created images. On the down-side, artists have been fired and computers may trivialize the visual image. There is no comfort here. On the up-side, artists have been liberated. Like the poet or the philosopher, the artist expresses the human condition and you can expect it to be a for force for rebellion...
