Similar things have happened in every other industriall revolution where the development and advancement of technology allow for the production of machines that were much more efficient than workers for example clothing industry. Handtailored clothes completely made by hand still exist tho as they present themselves as being objects of status and thus are able to provide that value to the customer. You might not be able to compete with the sheer efficiency and amount of products that AI/machines can produce but perphaps you could compete in quality? Idk much about freelance writing but maybe it could be possible.
