One failsafe... they have only one failsafe, the brightest minds all agree that the only real failsafe we have should things go the way things normally go, bad, is for AI never, ever to be allowed 'out of the box' until we know for sure it's aligned goodly. And then they immediately, right after slapping AI's little newborn buttocks, is to give AI free range of all the knowledge and resources of the Internet. Yeah, we're doomed.
