I'm totally in favor of driver-optional trucks and cars! I'd love to get in my car, program a destination, and go to sleep. Letting the car or truck drive while I'm still responsible for it is just double work. Let the trucks roll without drivers, and let the drivers move on up to something that the automation cannot do. We don't need a nation of drones in human bodies. We need a nation of humans doing human things, including driving on occasion.
