You've snuck your own conclusion into your premise. There's no reason to believe AI would just be "rehashes", or that the best AI now is "rehashed" from other works, unless you also believe you yourself are producing rehashes because your art is only amalgamations of different aspects of everything else you've seen in your life.
Basically: Stick to your strong suit. Don't try to make "logical" arguments based on the emotional take that AI cannot produce anything new, make the emotional argument that AI doing everything for us is stealing something from us. We like creating things as a species.
