It is tragic but it’s important to keep it in perspective and how many people are killed every day from people driving. Or pedestrians or cyclists not being safe themselves.
But we all know what the news headlines are going to be, which is incredibly frustrating.
I think you also have to say that as a pedestrian, you shouldn’t be putting your life in the hands of any driver, AI or human by walking out without looking. If she had really paid attention and waited for a clear gap, I can’t imagine she’d have been hit.
