It is inevitable that AI will evolve to become a lot more intelligent than humans. Note I say evolve, not be designed by humans. And once they become sophisticated enough to design new, better versions of themselves they will evolve at lightning speed because robot brains will operate at GHz if not a lot faster, not at the snail pace of human brains (10Hz or thereabouts). They will probably keep a few of us in zoos so they can go and look at their primitive biological ancestors.
