I think those professors are full of shit. Humans only have 2 cameras (eyes) and we can drive safely. But we humans have blind spots, make bad decisions, and cant plan for every situation. But teslas, with 8 cameras, doesnt have much of any blind spots, drives safer than a lot of humans, and is constantly getting better. Ai will become smarter than humans. Having lidar is kind of unnecessary considering its costs if you really think about it. Just because they have a degree, doesn't mean they know what they talking about
