It’s not just visual art, it’s everything! AI is taking centuries of art, writing, music and even coding to generate “new” content. Have you hear of the term AI Prompt engineer? They are anticipating the need for people who can prompt AI to create as if entering words/prompts is an act of engineering, lol. They said technology will free the people from mundane or dangerous work, but it looks like creatives are going to take a big hit. This reminds me of when so many newspapers shut down and photographers got the pink slip. Who needs photographers when people around the world are sending in photos and videos from their phones in real time. Today everyone with a phone and some good photo apps are “photographers”. What sells on Instagram are not polished professional photos. The phone camera and apps have advanced to a standard that most anyone can create good photos and videos. This AI thing is much bigger and much more disruptive though. Huge disruption and changes in many creative fields 😮
