interestingly to my understanding identifying and generating are really similar under the hood for ai. so, a model to identify something can be pretty easily modified to generate something similar. so, a model to identify triggering content can be modded into a generator for triggering content.
also, anyone saying this tech requires copyright infringement is lying, it's just easier not necessary. they could be restricting themselves to the public domain and partnering with artist and are choosing not to. fro where i stand training an ai on copyrighted art makes the ai model a derivative work of the art. the ai weights are an expression of the architecture and training fixed in a tangible medium. if it was made using copyrighted work it should be a derivative work.
the people who are basically deifying ai and worshiping it are really annoying.
