Artists are a dying species unfortunately, so I think it's good if artists could completely opt out of having their art style used by/with AI. The reason they are dying is pretty simple, AI is getting better, faster, more efficient over time unlike people and essentially the results will be so similar to the end user that they won't care about the process, only artists do. It's just reality, I'm not saying it to be mean. I don't find these AI hate videos very convincing or productive, because a lot of the times the artists that make them have little to no idea how AI art works, so they are looking at outdated AI art and then pretend AI art is this primitive thing that makes nooby mistakes and will make them forever. I've been using a paid AI art website here and there for fun, and stuff like hands, anatomy, logic or the details you showed in the video are no longer a problem at all and haven't been for a while. Anyway if we lived in a perfect world the corpos would pay the artists in some way based on how many people create art based on their data specifically or something but since art style isn't copyrightable you're pretty much out of luck. To be honest I can see how it's annoying if some guy just copy pastes your stuff for attention or profit but does it really matter if they create work unrelated to yours with it? If you see someone that uses your art style and one of your characters, it IS still copyright infringement, though. Unless artists stop throwing a temper tantrum and realize that AI isn't this primitive thing that can only copy paste, it will be impossible for both sides to have a fair discussion. You can actually mix different art styles and it doesn't require an "artist tag" either. That way you can create an art style that doesn't belong to anyone, is that still not acceptable to you? Maybe someday artists will become less narrowminded and hateful but rather than hate on it it's probably better to adjust to it somehow, use it for inspiration or make a sketch and let AI do the rest, train AI on your own art style, nobody is gonna come arrest you for it.
