A year ago, I really liked the term 'hallucinations'; I thought it was very fitting. Now, I'm listening to reasonable people talking about LLMs as if they're some kind of alien species. Perhaps we should use a different language to understand this. Maybe we got carried away by calling them 'intelligent' in the first place?
Can we also please stop discussing the bold marketing claims that some CEO made to sell a poor-quality chatbot?
To be clear, we need to have a serious conversation about this. However, I feel like the language is failing us because we called it 'intelligent' and started from there.🤔
