Nothing wrong with profiling tech. The problem is how it is applied. In this case, rather than have a complete investigation, the police jumps head first and automatically arrest someone on a victimless crime. As far as I am concerned, unless life and limb is immediately at risk, you don't sick the police on anyone. Hell, they don't do false policing on the rich and powerful, do they? No. They do they homework before calling in the police.
