Amazon is a very bad bassline...... They have even got a documentary on how bad they treat there work force. If it was a case for me were it was "Amazon way or the highway" then hello highway !!! I think what is very much also very overlooked is there are loads of company's and jobs out there, its not about working in a way you don't want to, more so in finding the company that works for you. Remember the interview process is a two way street, you are also gathering information if the position is right for you as well as you are right for them. The RTO approach in my mind motivates people to work against the company, our lives now are not as free as they once were and our day fills up with cores etc more now then ever did. A typical family now has to have 2 working adults to support the family rather then 1 Male provider so the Fe-male can do all the homely stuff like getting food, washing, etc at least if you are WFH you can put the washing on while waiting for a meeting to start, take that away only increases the pressure on the workforce that will undoubtfully have negative feelings towards the company. My honest view is if there are a list of jobs that need doing for the week, and one of my workers have done them, then that's all i require to keep the business going, unlike automation, book balancing etc etc we are talking about human beings that have outside factors not just a bum on a seat.
