If all these trillion dollar corporations want to spend money on this AI technology we can’t really stop them. But what should be done is forcing them to subsidize the excess cost of electricity to the consumers who didn’t ask for their energy prices to double in the last 2 years. A 40-50% rebate applied to everyone’s electric bill every month seems very reasonable to me. Especially when factoring in all the unbelievable tax benefits these corporations receive.
