Both are true, it's unethical AND ugly.
But also a legit potential danger for everything political if there becomes a rising trend of easy to generate images, video, and audio, that looks and sounds real, and can cause real world consequences that tangle up into the already horrific trend of misinformation in our world today. AI will become a big part in that.
Even if it didn't hurt artists, it can still hurt everyone in other real ways.
