There is no social democratic compromise that would work in the near future. We are at a crossroads: we either get crushed under a totalitarian regime that controls us via AI surveillance or we collectivize production means and decision making, using the newly found free time of discharged workers for greater collectivized and democratized decision making. People don't need to work shit jobs to feel like they have a meaning in society, we all could contribute to the democratic process of redistributing resources outside of this now dead capitalist system.
