I've seen their art in progress a few times, and It seems more like they use them as very close references. Using them to get the general poses and references down. Especially with the first Geto example, I feel like that's a great one to see more clearly for how they use it as a reference. And they put a good amount of their own skill and talent into the work, so it's not as if they're "copying," but more so to use the essence of the original to influence and inspire their own work. I'm not entirely sure why they might not have at least said they referenced them tho. I just hope it's true that the AI images came before their pieces, bc imagine if someone took the pieces, ran them through the AI, and tried to pull a stunt like this. Anyway, I'm only 5 mins in, but I mainly don't really see why it's such an incredibly big deal to some people. This person just does it as a hobby anyway. And if they make anything off of it, it's taken from AI art anyway which legally has no copyright, so I feel like people are making a big deal out of nothing.
