I don't think you, nor I, nor even the people currently working on AIs have any real say on your utopian fantasy, as much as it is necessary.
General AI will get here probably in the next decade or two, but I think AI superintelligence won't be far from being on the back foot of general AI once it arrives.
And we better have transformed our species in to one big happy peacefully coexisting family by the time superintelligence arrives if we want any hope of that AI preserving value on our continued existence.
We have to be the kind of good stewards shepherding AI into superintelligence that we would want to peacefully coexist with, otherwise the Terminator movies will look like a paradise on Earth in comparison.
