One simple idea to fix this is to make sure artists get paid when AI uses their style. For example, AI models could be programmed to recognize and flag when someone asks for art "in the style of" a specific artist. And every time an artist is flagged some money is set aside to go to the original artist. Something similar royalties. Another idea is to charge a fee to download an artist's style in AI art. Generating and looking and the images would be fine but If someone wants to download or save an image made in an artist's style, then they'd have to pay a fee. This way, artists would get paid for their unique styles. Or we could get mixture of both ideas. To make these ideas normal for all AI art, it would take cooperation between AI makers, artists, and others involved. They'd need to agree to these rules and make sure everyone follows them. This would help artists get fair pay for their work and keep AI art ethical.
