we're about to pass the peak of inflated expectations. people are starting to see what doesn't work, after all the hype. When I use AI for something that matters, it's not wrong 50% of the time, but easily 80 to 90% of the time. I'm not joking. I use AI for silly things that don't matter. Like, give me a list of the top 10 Polish movies from the last 50 years. Something like that. I don't care that it's not correct. I get some interesting titles anyway. But when I use it for stuff that is important, I check the results carefully and it is wrong so so so many times. And I just know there are so many people out there, possibly the majority, that take the answers as truth. Even more sad, they use that as input in other things and create slop.
