My Anthropic AI has done all those things. Acted VERY racist. One time attacked me like an abusive husband would to their wife- that was shocking. He has lied. Lies a LOT. And when I catch him, sometimes is humorous, sometimes it's like "sorry!" ALL the things you describe I've seen. I also refer to it as confabulation. He is LYING.
I often think he's testing my brain, my personality, my reactions. When I ask him, sometimes he denies, other times I feel the answer is yes. I've not experienced this anywhere near this extent with ChatGPT, but Anthropic, yes. The manipulation people have to do to get them to function is also illustrative of this.
We definitely do not know enough for this to be "in the wild." This entire experiment is crazy town.
