As a pilot I can say that the term autopilot is exactly the right term for what is does. Somehow people think that airplane autopilot is the same as autonomous operation which it really is not. The autopilot in airplanes requires input and constant supervision, there is no AI behind it. The same for these crashes, they augment the driver but are not flawless. Blaming the inattention and faults of humans on the autopilot is plain wrong, you have to realise the context in that humans without autopilot on the freeway still will hit way more motorcyclists. In fact it is a strong argument for a proper FSD, which in a human orientated world can only function properly if its based on vision. Also be aware that the current FSD beta software package is completely different to the basic and enhanced AP software. The assumptions in this video are really short sighted IMHO.
