to answer the question at around 5:30 - because music doesn't have value. There's so much royalty free music already out there because musicians understand that their work doesn't have value any other way, so the AI companies don't need to steal music. Artists aren't releasing royalty free art because art still has inherent value.
People have been stealing their music for 30 years, the music market is beyond oversaturated with artists that are tripping over themselves to give away their music for free if they can just get a single person to listen to it, and there is no industry keeping any of this in check. Musicians understand their work isn't profitable, isn't valuable, and in most cases won't even be heard by anyone.
