... just one problem with this... If everyone is poor, who are they selling to? The AI companies sell to other enterprises, sure. But if those enterprises can't sell 'cause everyone is unemployed, then they have no money to pay the AI companies with. Then the AI companies don't make revenue, and since they are the only ones with even potential customers, the economy collapses. Unless we assume the entire economic system is rewired just to sell to the ultra-wealthy, this makes no sense. The more likely outcome is a massive deflationary crisis as every (non-AI) company that uses AI to replace workers drops prices to get at least some customers. This continues till the economy completely collapses and likely there is revolution by the people. And no, even with a compltely corporate-controlled media, EVERYONE will know there is a problem by the time 1 in 4 people do not have a job.
