AI is not and will never be sentient. It is called ARTIFICIAL intelligence for a reason. Artificial means a copy of something natural that is made by humans. You can make really good artificial flowers but they're still fake flowers at the end of the day. An AI will always be a robot, no matter how advanced it becomes. The human who created the robot may put his/her feelings into it and that may come out when the software is asked certain questions but that does not indicate the AI actually possesses these feelings. They were programmed in.
