I don’t think, “I lose interest when I learn artwork has been made by AI.” Is a strong supporting statement for the assertion that, “AI art is boring.”
To me, this is equivalent to an ‘appeal to authority i.e. ‘this statement is true because it was said by a person with these qualifications’.
In the same way that a good argument should stand on its own logic, a good artwork should stand on its own merit… if you are fooled into thinking an artwork is human-made and therefore spend time questioning it and reflecting on your craft because of it, then it’s literally intriguing you.
