id say the ai engine is an artist, after all , it does have its own bland style, takes inspiration from things, has gone on a journey of its own to develop its very bland style(updates), it controls what the art turns out like in the end, and its only improving from here sadly. like the ai "artists" are really more of people asking an artist to make something for them rather than artists themselves. heck, the ai's art even reflects its own personal expieriences in life which is nothing at all, hence why its so soulless. while i dont like how good ai is becoming or the ethics behind it, i would consider it an artist by the technical definition, it checks pretty much all the boxes of what it means to be an artist in my opinion. however the stupid ai bros are delusional if they think they're artists. like what they're doing is the equivalent to asking the art kid in your class to draw you something, getting that picture and bragging about how YOU made such a great work of art and how much of an artist YOU are. like the art kid added their own personal spin and style to the piece and theyre the ones who made it, you just gave them an idea so they could have something to make.
