1:25:50 i think the main threat to human happiness is humans. genuinely. its our greed that makes us exploit others within our species. for 1% to be happy, 99% are exploited. i think losing the jobs isnt going to be a problem. if you have much freetime and you are bored IMO that only means you are stupid. there are so many things to do ALREADY to find purpose in, and there will be MUCH MORE of all of that to do/consume with AI emerging. more games, more books, more music, more manga/manwha/manhua, art, etc. the only point in which a living selfaware thing would truely be bored and lose all purpose would be if it e.g. wished from a djinn in a bottle to be ALLKNOWING. aka you would know everything that happend, happens and will happen, ever. even AI wont achieve that to soon and we can always artificially limit ourselves to know less and solve problems. look at modern computer games, we MAKE ourselves problems to solve and are happy solving them, while there isnt any "effective outcome" as you would have with work. its separate systems and realities we can enjoy our primitive urges of "gain" in. monsters to kill, woman to seduce, guild to establish, worl bosses to slay together, gears to wear - limited by artificial levels you have to gain - imaginary currency (gold) to collect from doing essentially "work". ; we will find smth to do if we really want to and adapt our mindset. we got enough neuroflexibility for that. question will be if we survive the transition where every state wants to rule the world and so many jobs are replaced that capitalism (what the entire world/ social structure is build on right now) becomes quite literally obsolete unless kept alive forcefully and artificially (which might be even worse for us humans in terms of QOL =quality of life).
