Max is just another particle fixated bean counter stuck in his world of "stuff". He along with all mainstream academics are indoctrinated with the models built on the "fallacy of attribute reification". They believe all phenomena is made of "particles" and therefore everything is quantifiable. All physics phenomena is a result of a non-physical medium that is not made of "matter". Light, magnetism, electricity, gravity, and energy are modalities/effects/attributes of this universal medium that permeates all of reality. This medium is dielectric in nature and acts on matter which is composed of various compounds of hydrogen atoms and all atoms are dielectric dynamos. This medium constantly strives for equilibrium and a balanced distribution of its dielectric properties. It constantly interacts with matter and it IS inertia itself. It resists motion and acts on matter to return to rest.This is the cause of atoms reaching their lowest possible energy state. Mainstream physics defines inertia as the resistance of an object's mass to a change in motion. It is an abstract, non-causal principle, not a physical mechanism. The dielectric medium IS inertia and inertia IS energy. All energy, whether as potential or kinetic, is a manifestation of the dielectric mediums inertial resistance and its pressure dynamics. There is no distinction between the energy that causes motion and the inertia that resists it because they are two sides of the same causal coin. Materialists cannot wrap their heads around phenomena that is not made of "matter" because it cannot be quantified and plugged into equations. They constantly mistake immaterial attributes for tangible "particles" such as the "electron" that Max mentions. There is no such thing as an "electron" and it is another attribute reification fallacy. It is a misinterpretation and is actually a unit of dielectric induction and the mistake is a direct result of an electrostatic interaction that is then used to presuppose a mass and extrapolate a force equals mass times acceleration - reifying the force as a mass! A crude analogy would be clapping one hands and then claiming the discovery of a new particle named the "claptron". The "electron" is the result of what something does rather than what something is and is simply not a thing in itself. The mainstream physics models accept only 5% of the known universe is "observable" and 95% is unknown and NOT detectable and this has required "dark matter" and "dark energy" to be invoked as a means to explain the discrepancies in their models equations. This means there is phenomena that is outside of observable science acting on matter that is NOT understood by the mainstream and this explains why "gravity" is often considered to be a "mysterious force". There is lots of phenomena that exists and is not made of "stuff" and consciousness is among these. Materialists think that "life" is simply a rearrangement of matter and suddenly "life" emerges. This is not so, life is only possible due to matter and "spirit" (the breath of life) in order to animate the matter. Without "spirit" there is no "life" and what we observe as "death" is simply the disconnect of matter and spirit. Observation aligns with this because no scientist can create life and once an organism has ceased to be animate it cannot be resurrected. A machine can simulate being sentient along with artificial intelligence but it can never attain "consciousness" because "consciousness" is immaterial and will never be completely understood by mankind because WE are limited to "stuff".
