I often take an autonomous vehicle, it's 120 meter long, runs in tunnels, and regularly transports a million people in a day.
It's a metro, namely line 14 here in Paris (or lines 1 and 4, just slightly less ridership with roughly 750k / 800k daily passengers each).
Way fewer cars and more public transportation would be a great future.
