I get it. Art has meant a lot to people throughout history and still does. But you (anti-AI's) act as if people can no longer feel pride or joy from their art now that AI is here. They still can. You can still express yourself through art and share it with people. And thats great, art is still an extension of the soul. I just cant help but notice the hypocrisy when I see all these comments. Criticizing the "cooperate machine" when their main complaint is that artists will have a harder time commercializing their work. The argument that AI is intellectual theft is pretty weak too. Artists create work that is "inspired" by someone else's piece all the time. I doubt every single person checks to see if that work is copyrighted and then reaches out to the original artist for permission to make a similar piece if it is. You don't have to consider AI as "art". Yes, a computer generated image is less impressive than what people create with their own hands. Art competitions should check to make sure all entries aren't AI generated. Just because a car can move faster than an olympic track racer doesn't mean their talent is less meaningful. Just give me a break about this "damage to humanity's soul" and "it removes the meaning behind our work" crap. Any artist who is mad at AI is really mad that there will be less people willing to hand them their money.
