If you think of human evolution there have been thousands of proteins, energy carriers, muscle fibres that have evolved and led to single cell organisms , worms, trees, tigers, viruses and us. It is unlikely we will ever know each steps leading to each organism. AI changes would be even more difficult to determine . Clearly it is extremely difficult to predict what will evolve with AI - is it worth the risk. Why do we find the random change that leads to "progressing" so compelling?
