in school I completely avoided going anywhere near anything related to STEM or their programs, yes even with those cheesy commercials that would tell me when i was little that more girls should be involved in STEM, cause even back then i knew how people who werent cis white men were treated majority of the time. People who dont fit into that mold are usually talked down to, thought of as people who arent as smart as them, or could even be completely shut out and ignored. I mention this because after all these years of growing up seeing the advancements of tech theres obviously going to be more people who arent cis white men wanting to go into STEM, or even more specifically AI research like this videos talking abt, yet they are still so hesitant on the idea of a black person or a woman knowing either better than them or at the very least just as much as them with the correct qualifications and sadly its not surprising that issues like this are happening, they continue to make advancements that greatly benefit them but to everyone else who doesnt fit into that mold well we are just shit out of luck i guess. I mean now we have ai influencers (WHO ARE WHITE) making ai influencers that arent white and are saying the n word in their music, and also posting them in prison jumpsuits getting beat up by the police, again this is a couple of white guys doing all this, making the music, coming up with brilliant concepts like police brutality, and people just keep supporting them, i think jarvis johnson said they r trying or have already gotten a record deal.
