Everyone talks about the interaction between student and teacher, which is fine. After all, most of the education system still relies on publicly funded education to exist. Or does it? There is a painful truth we are not addressing here, and no one so far has mentioned it: What happens IF the decision makers decide to save money by implementing AI-like entities to start replacing teachers? The same way that's happening in the corporate world, and why many of us, and yes, I am also in tech, lost our jobs, and partly the reason why I can't get a new one might be thanks to the augmented automation, hey! I used to do that myself; I contributed to the automation of processes that made my job obsolete, but I digress. The main thing here is that private schools, government bodies, and generally speaking, the institutions that depend on tax money for education will see changes. I see governments being pushed by constituents to save them money. So, a strong look at AI as a replacement is not overstated. Even if the AI is used to enhance the teacher's ability to teach efficiently, will you need as many teachers as you do now? Why is no one talking about the economics of teaching? Or, I haven't found that video yet. ;-) Cheers.
