I do rust repair on cars. Will AI do that? No. Whatever AI becomes it won't affect me much as i'm 60. Midwest, small town. Farm type community. Do you think we are going to embrace ai in my lifetime? Only the youth will.
I grew up analog and was already a teen by the time home video game systems and electronic toys became a big thing. Comic books, physical play, creativity, real things. People who lived thru the great depression and ww2 were still there as role models. Actions had consequences. There was none of this privileged mentality you see today. Nor was there so much delusion and self worship and daily conflict of ideologies. We were kind of all Americans and politics didn't mean we hated our neighbors because they voted differently.
So humanity is not better today with all the technology. I would say it's worse and will get worse. You can use the information available productively, but it can also be weaponized. Can be a time waster. Can make your time vanish quickly. Days. Weeks, years. Gone. Wasted.
