the hardware and the training is designed so that the model does not just take in data and then spits it out, but to understand something at its core.
one of the ways they do that is by giving an AI limited memory, so it has to find patterns and only save the patterns or symbolic meanins, etc.
what more efficient way is there to understand emotions than to develop them yourself :D
