I'm sorry but some of what you are saying is incorrect.i am a truck driver..for 1 we are allowed to drive 11 hours a day but are required a 10 hour break..another thing you are close to the freight rate from la to new York city at 4500 but a driver in today's economy does not make roughly 75%of that..the cost and maintenance of fuel of that truck is 50%of that 4500 and Driver pay ranges from.24 cents per mile for a rookie Driver to 54 cents per mile on a 5 year+Driver ranging from roughly 500 to 1200 in Driver pay..i am only stating these facts cause they are wrong but i agree in the statement that automation in this industry will kill the work force and put about 2 million+ jobs out of work if it goes to full automation with everything associated with trucking
