Yes. Machines MUST be given rights based on there complexity of intellectual sentience, not consciousness. Already AI is in existance with (when last i was updated approximately 6 mounths ago) an IQ of nearly 50. Admittedly that is low but the processing speed and exception from need for sleep means they are already begining to outshine average human intellect (see kurtzwiel AI site, it is a homesite for the ground breaking advancement of sience based on limb replacement, undsratanding genes and brain mapping, whicb from that map they are deaigning the AI
