I'm not sure AI is to blame here, but just rather general lack of experience. I wasn't a great debugger/troubleshooter when I started out either, long before there were AI tools (or even GUIs). I learned it the hard way and I'm really good at it now. They will, too, guide them through the process but let them do it.
