I think in 6 months you will see most free ai things gone, and a lot of public facing companies will cut back on its use if not pull it entirely. Amazon intends to hold on to its investments for the long term, but this will lead to them making their services worse in other ways to balance out their bottom line for investors.
A couple days ago I noticed that my local taco bell drive thru no longer has an automated voice answering when you drive up, and last week a support line I use sometimes was now back to pressing a number to continue instead of trying to talk to a virtual assistant that never worked.
