Model was free Sonnet 4.6.
Out of all of them the medical one would not have been possible without an AI.
The "might have saved my life" is not entirely hyperbole, I am having significant reactions to some trial meds and Claude gave good reasons why I should be prepared to rush to A&E. If my reaction worsened I should not sit it out as it might be fatal!!
I have a difficult to diagnose condition - with vague symptoms that frankly could fit anything. I've been working with my GP over a period of months to try and get to the bottom of it, but with such a vague and generalised symptom very difficult to get a handle on.
I'd tried google before, but got nowhere.
So, downloaded as many medical records as I could, just dumped them into Claude and asked what it thought. It has come back with most likely cause, but confirmed that would be ruled out by a diagnostic treatment plan - exactly as already happened with my doctor. It then suggested the second probability, low kidney function, which is what I am taking back to my GP.
I then asked it to give me an overall health check, it asked for some additional information and came up with some good health suggestions and some particular tweaks I should make in relation to my specific health issues.
The charts generated from my health records were very useful at giving information from data. Extracting the trend line from a bunch of numbers.
Now, when all is said and done, I'm not taking this as gospel, next step is the conversation with the doctor, but I know for damn sure no GP I have ever seen has done a 20 year review of my blood results, medication, doctors visits and put together a holistic health review. Claude asked about familial illnesses and conditions too.
Also, and this is the other crucial part, no GP has ever discussed with my health trends. I'm 66, my aging body is changing, but a 20 year overview of how it is changing is very useful.
